    You have to register with the U.S. copyright office ( http://www.copyright.gov/ ). You have to pay a fee everytime you copyright something but you copyright several things together under that one fee, so it’s in your interest to copyright as much as you can to get the most out of that fee because the next time you decide to get a copyright in say a month from now you have to pay the fee again.
    You usually get the certificate of copyright back in 4 months if it’s done online.
